I went to a different Hobby Lobby today and found 2 more fabrics
that match the collection. I also found a dark blue tonal that matched
pretty well. Also purchased a white tonal called "cracked ice" not sure
yet if I will be using it. Went to 5 different stores (HL, Joann's & 3 LQS)
looking for a solid or tonal green that would match (or come close).

However I DID find in my stash I had a green with blue paisley print
that I think looks so-so with the fabrics, the hubs said no though.

Here are pictures of all the fabrics I gathered so far.

I have been looking at the D9P pattern, every pattern layout that I
have seen has 9 different fabrics hence the reason I am trying to
come up with so many choices.

Love the fabrics, Quilty! There are a few pics of 4 color disappearing 9 patch quilts. I personally like to use 4 or more colors, but if you used the blue solid with the original three fabrics you posted - I think it would look great! I found this thread on the QB where the OP asked for D9P with 4 colors. Lots of pics in this thread! Do post pics of yours when you are finished.

I think it would make a great rail fence. Love the colors.

Nice color choices. Go through your quilt books/magazines and I think you will find some good choices. Lots of different choices when using D9P. Rail fence is always a good choice too.
I think instead of white I would use a cream or off white. I think white can be too stark.

    THANKS!!

I was thinking that the white just wasn't quite right, but was totally
unsure which direction I should go in. The off white/cream just might
be the trick I need to try.

Yes I will be sure to post pictures when I am finished.

In stead of sleeping last night (like I was SUPPOSED to be since I have
work today) I was trying to come up with other patterns that I might
like for these fabrics. Rail fence was the first one that came to mind.

Yes I have TONS of magazines to look through so will do that also.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

I always choose the pattern first, then purchase the fabric.
I wonder how many quilters choose the fabric first? And how many choose the fabric first?

Fantastic colors! I'd add a solid or two. Check page 74 of the Jan/Feb issue of McCall's Quilting. It would do your choices justice, at least I think it would.
