It is adorable and I love the red ties. How big is it? It looks really nice.

Thanks for all the nice compliments. I have to tye my quilts as i dont have a machine that will will do quilting much. theres a secret with this quilt. A lady i know incanada told me about this. When she is making a quilt for a gift, then she buys batting and uses that in between the top and bottom layer. When she is making a quilt for herself or for her own home, she uses old blankets. She sometimes goes to places liek good will etc., and purchases old blankets which is much cheaper than batting, and uses that. Well we here in my town had a flood a few years ago, and the red cross came and gave out a warm blankets with their logo on it. No one here wanted to use that blanket , so instead of buying batting, I used it inside this quilt. Many of us have old blankets that are not pretty anymore and just is stuffed in storage somewhere. Which is exactly what happened with the red cross blanket. It is warm and sturdy and will last a very long time. I beleive in recycling and this is another way to do that. She also goes to an army surplus store and buys old blankets from there to use also. shhhhh the secrets in the quilt!
