You are so right! I was reading a post a couple of days ago, this poster had made a mistake and she was going to throw her fabric away and quit quilting, etc. She was feeling so sorry for herself, she had made a mistake. We all make mistakes, it's what you do after the mistake that matters. Will it defeat you or will you pick yourself up and carry on? This poor lady was ready to quit and I thought to myself, how sad. I am so thankful for my Mom who taught me there is ALWAYS more than one way to do something. You have the same outlook as I do. If it doesn't work first time, try again. I just wanted to thank you for the great post, maybe it will help someone who is going to give up when a problem occurs.

NOW you are no longer a beginning quilter, but an experienced quilter! You can rejoice in your craft, in having figured out the balance in technique and enjoyment, in having made your peace with what you do, and can move on to teaching (as you've done here) and comfortably sharing your projects - free from concern about critical opinions of others and just rest on the pure joy of it! Many never get to this place. Go you!

I try to make my quilts perfect and have decided to accept that they aren't and never will be. I try three times and if they don't come out perfect then I just accept it and move on. Maybe if I only made one pattern they would get closer. Not for me, I have lots of patterns I want to make. I am usually pretty happy with the way they turn out.
