I use them at first with FM. I quit using them after awhile, I didn't feel I needed them anymore. I would recommend them, I think it does make a difference starting out. If you can't find them, pm me your address and I will mail you a few.

The only time I NEED to use them, is if I overfill my bobbin for my longarm, so in order to not have to use them is never to over fill my bobbin. Can not see any reason to use them in a domestic machine.

I never heard of them, but I thought - how dirty can bobbins get? And if it it makes that much of a difference, can I just put my bobbins in the dishwasher to clean them instead of buying another gadget just to wash my bobbins?

I now assume from reading the last few replies that it is something you place under your bobbin to make it turn easier. Is that right?
