Border Fabrics?

The yellow gold inner border works. As would a magenta red inner border (pulling colors from the quilt). The inner border can be any contrast color that's in the quilt already. A bright contrast enhances your colors overall.

I LOVE the combination on the left
I think the reason why the blue in the first picture didn't work is because it doesn't look like it's in the body of the quilt. The new combination brings the dark fabric in the quilt to the border.
I don't care for the scale(too big) of the green fabric in the sample on the right. The color seems a bit off, too.

WEll, I liked the blue better than the other choices. I don't generally love borders, but if you think of them as frames, frames don't have to "match" or repeat content from the art being framed. Are you set on a border? What if you just made more blocks and went "frameless"?

I agree too. Hope you have enough of the fabric you used in the larger triangles. Try auditioning a red or a yellow inside border and take a picture of each. Good Luck !!

I'd still like to see a red for the inner border, but I really like the black. Of the two inner fabrics you posted, I actually prefer the one on the right. For me the yellow check doesn't work; I would need a different shade of yellow and something other than a check. The quilt itself is very geometric, so the check is overkill for me. (I might have a different opinion if seeing more of the quilt from further back; it's a little different seeing just one corner. But that is my first impression.....)
