    How precious!
It's always amazing to me how MUCH more appealing quilts are when they are completed from the "almost done" stage!

No, I didn't!!! And, I sure wish I had, because you would not believe the difference in looks. Thank you...I love the old quilts and all scrappy ones. This one is for sure a scrappy. I had some blocks that she couldn't even get all the same scraps in one block. Love her for trying. Sadly, she died right before I was trying to make arrangements to show her the quilt that she had started. One of these days, when my time is up, her daughter will get this quilt. I think she will love it, as some of her mom's dresses, my grandmother's dresses, and my mom's dresses were in this quilt. Such a long story of life.

Well, I have no idea why one photo was small and one was larger. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer with all the modern technology. But, at age 72, I'm proud of what I CAN do. hehehe Love this quilting board!!

I will never understand why someone gives a "quilt top" as a wedding gift to someone who doesn't quilt. The guilt of trying to figure out what to do with it must have been weighing on you for all of those 50 years. If it had been me giving the quilt top, I would have found someone to quilt it and given it to the bride as a finished quilt.

What a neat story and I love that you made the quilt beautiful with the white borders. It really sets off the blocks.

Jan, I so agree!! So many times, I have finished a top and think it's not pretty at all. But, when I get it quilted and the binding on, I always LOVE it and proud of it.
