CONGRATULATIONS!!! I have a Crescendo and love it. Baby Lock doesn't have many youtube videos for the machine BUT there are several for the Brother Dream Weaver which is more than a whole lot like the Crescendo.

I got mine last year for $4500. Was told that BL sets the prices. The laser is okay and have yet to use the sensor pen successfully. The best thing is the dealer though he is too good of a salesman as he has sold me 2 berninas, a BL excape and 1500 quilters pro. One bernina I upgraded to a 153 bernina and don't know how he talked me into the crescendo. Niece now has the bernina. My daughter has the excape (I think it's called an Audrey now). i have a fw to take to class. The crescendo is toooo heavy to cart around.

You are going to love it! I just got the Unity. Had actually planned on the Crescendo but decided that since this is my LAST machine, I would get the combo for what little embroidery I do. I have a 5x7 but that 7x12 with a color screen was a deal breaker! I haven't been able to take any lessons yet and boy, is it intimidating on my own! Ive got a wonderful dealer tho, with life time lessons, so just have to find some free time.

I also have the Symphony and the Serenade and don't see too much difference with the way the Symphony works, except for the extra bells and whistles.

Thanks everyone - the more I use my machine the more I like it. But still lots to learn!

..in three years..that machine will be obsolete probably, and replaced by a bigger more expensive one!

Good luck to you on your new "toy"... Many years of stitches to you!

I traded my espire for the brother combo version of the unity and haven't looked back. It is truly a dream machine.
