Every time I think I've seen the last way to arrange a simple four patch and HST someone will surprise me again. This is going to be gorgeous. Will you share the size of your blocks?

Sure... I used 2" squares for the 4 patches, and started with 4" squares for the hsts, then trimmed them down to 3.5". The 4 patches finish out at 3.5" too. When those 4 blocks are joined to form the buckeye blocks, they are 6.5". Then the 4 buckeyes sew together into one big star at 12.5". I think my quilt will have 5 star blocks across, and 7 rows vertically.

I'm hosting a 2" squares block swap right now, if anyone wants to 2" squares to make a scrappy quilt. That is what I used for the 4-patches in these quilt blocks.
