I have the sandpaper dots on my rulers too. I did test them both out on fabric. The grip doesn't slip too much. The grid did slip a tiny bit easier. Not a dollar worth though lol. My dh calls me a skin flint. Easy enough to put grips on this one too.

I have been using the almost clear Plastic tape from the first aid aisle for my rulers ! It is awesome ! It is the plastic tape that looks like grid lines all over it. Easy to see through and have yet to have anything slip since I started using it ! And its cheap at the dollar store !

TruCut makes circular grippers that really work well. I have to lift my rulers to reposition them but not having them slip around is worth the extra effort.

My quilt shop stopped selling Omnigrid and is selling creative grids. I already bought 2 and I'm going to replace all my rulers with them in time.

Great idea. I will have to try this. I have tried several different things and find the silicone circles work but sometimes I get a bunch from not picking it up enough when I move it and it causes problems with the cut. I will be trying this soon. grammasharon

Since I started using the Creative Grid ruler I don't buy anything else. I find they work best for me.

I might have to try that. Even with the dots I get slippage. I have arthritis in my hands so don't have a lot of grip.

I bought a set of the Omnigrip rulers and gave them away. The lines are thicker than on the Creative Grids rulers and those colored areas around the lines, on the Omnigrip rulers, made it harder for me to see where I was measuring. I really like the Creative Grids rulers and won't buy anything else.
