    I love your idea. You're a genius. I keep the little Crisco trays too (only the ones with the covers). I also keep the little plastic containers that hold cupcake papers....good for tiny scraps and extra squares.

    That is a clever idea -- I'm going to have to save those little containers. There is always a good use for a different container! I use a container intended for embroidery floss and have the different sizes and types stored in each little section. I can tell at a glance what will need to be replaced. I use an empty needle container to hold slightly used needles.

    Both tips are great ideas!! You might see if there is a Freecycle group in your area, if so you might be able to pick up extra lids!
