    The nonsense that some people come up with is amazing. No logic or common sense to their way of thinking, just prater on about things that are utterly wrong.

    The US has used the 110/115 V electrical system since it's inception. Both AC and DC. All motors are labeled, or should be, and just reading the labels will tell you what the friend says is bull s ........ squat.

    lol. You're all right. I thought he was confused, but I think some people assume old=not energy efficient = super drain on power.

    But my machine is running much better with it's new power cord- and no popping circuits or overheating.
