I don't have an actual book that I write in, however, I do keep track of EVERY quilt that I make. I have a running list in the computer that says the number of the quilt, what I named it, how large it is, when it was finished, and who I gave it to. I also take loads of pictures, and have them all on a flash drive. (in case the computer ever poops out).

I'm not very good about keeping my quilting journaled - most of it is online but I'd like to have it on paper. My grandmother's quilting journal is a family heirloom. It's REALLY cool to look through it! All her hand-drawn patterns and notes...

I'd like to leave something similar behind.

I made a board on Pinterest that's for my projects only. I'll take a pic as it's in progress then another when it's done.

I keep a spiral bound notebook, by my machine, in which I record what I have accomplished in quilting each day. I also record whether I serviced or merely oiled my Featherweight. My primary record is a notebook for each year in which I place a page size photograph of the quilt. A photograph of the quilt label gives information such as the name of the quilt, the designer, for whom the quilt was made, the LAQ, the date completed, etc. With some quilts that I quilt on my DSM, I often include close up pictures of the quilting. If the quilt blocks are intricate, I include a close up picture. I give all my quilts away and, from someone on the Quilting Board, I learned to include the "Thank you" notes in my quilting notebook. I am so glad that I keep photographs of my quilts.
