Thanks for this pattern. Another one to the bucket list. I'll have to live till I'm 120 or so.

I'm so glad you asked this question! The "blank" pattern will be very helpful. You reminded me that I'd love to make this quilt!

I think you would be thrilled with all you can do with EQ7.
I'm still learning how to use some of the features, but the basics are easy.

I love EQ7. Made a wall hanging in a class. Used EQ7 to make the design a King size quilt. Then used EQ7 to audition several color layouts, saved each one & printed each one. Made my decision on my color choices.

Not free but Eleanor Burns has a book for this quilt.

Maniac, can a copy of an entire quilt with this block be printed using EQ7? There are times I want to color in order to see the "big" picture? Better yet, will this program do the coloring for you? If so, it makes it very tempting to add this software to my Christmas list.
Yes, I could have colored it with using either solids or fabric. The program comes with a library of fabric and the company post on their website about 30 free new current fabrics every month. I have had EQ since 1995. The best thing is about the program is when you need to resize a quilt. Here is a recent charity quilt I twiked using Warm Wishes. I enlarged the focus block from 6" unfinished to 8" finished. You can add your actual fabric you have and put them into the sketchbook:
