her name is Aunt Betty Lou after my neighbor who taught me how to sew buttons on a piece of fabric when I was 3. i'd go to her house every day, and watch her sew on her machine while she'd play Peter and the Wolf on the "Hi-FI" (remember them). We'd sew together every day, so in memory of her, and her being the neighborhood AUNT, her name was Betty Lou.
She's a cutie, looks like a baby sewing machine too. My grandma had the red eye, but she's long gone now. Grandma and the machine. Too bad to both of them. I loved them both.

Congratulations Lynnie. I have a featherweight that I found in a junk shop a few years ago. It didn't have a case but it had lots of nifty feet. It worked fine, but was covered with layers of dirt and gunk. I paid $60 and took it home intending to clean it up and sell it on eBay. Cleaned it up, stitched some fabric for the Ebay listing to show it worked and discovered that I was in love LOL. I now have a hand crank for it so when we lose power or if I want to sew outside on a nice day, I just disconnect the hand wheel from the motor, add the crank and stitch sans electricity. I also now have the zig-zag attachment (it moves the fabric since the needle doesn't move), buttonholer, etc. Mine stays on the table to the left of my main fmq machine. On days when I don't have a lot of creative energy the featherweight gets a workout making crumb fabric for my "slice 'n dice" quilts.
It's a fun little machine. I know you're going to love yours.
