    Default Fold'n Stitch Wreath

Those of you who have made the wreaths-did you use the setting suggested in the pattern and did you have any trouble going thru the thickness of the material? In all of your pictures, I never saw Zig-zag showing so did you use thread to match the 5 inch square or the fabric with the X cut. Thank you for your help.
I have made several wreaths, blooms and am now going to make the leaf topper. I used Pellon Peltex 71F in mine instead of Bosal and used the buttonhole stitch around the applique pieces. Worked great!

I use the blanket stitch I feel it's neater. I didn't have any problem with the thickness of the material. You can try different lengths of stitch to see what you like on a scrap piece of material. I used 1 inch on my machine.
Love working these. Once I get the material cut I can make one in an evening.

Here is the fold n stitch blossom I made on July 4th. I used a decorative stitch to make it a little more fancy. You can see it looks like a scallop around the applique part. This is a poorhouse pattern.I think and stitch will work. You don't wash these often anyway.

Wow - love the look of the scallops on your wreath, lawsonmugs. Never would have thought to do that. Great idea!!

I used a blanket stitch. Was easy. I used deco-bond and heat-n-bond lite to fuse, it was what I had and is cheaper. It gives the wreath the stiffness it needs.

Thanks to all -lawsonmugs, mamia, jmarko and stashelf for the information about fusibles and the use of different stitches.
Really didn't want to use zig-zag (can't get it even) will try the others and see what I can manage. So used to doing what a pattern says (and not familiar with types of fusibles) that it's easy for me to get "stuck".

I buy Pellon two side fusible flex foam at Walmart for under $5 yard. There is also a one sided and plain.

I think theses wreaths were onced made from bought thin pot holders. My aunt had one on her table, the knob tabs on the potholders all went in the center opening.
