For Thanksgiving I am making a cranberry salad that has raw cranberries, apples, walnuts and a red jello. The jello doesn't firm up, it is there as the sweetener. It is delish.

I forgot to mention that last year that I started a thread about having to buy 2 bags of cranberries every time I made a recipe because half of the berries were spoiled. I see others are having that problem, too.

This recipe isn't sweet, and it sounds strange, but it is WONDERFUL! It's Cranberry Sauce that goes well with meat. 2 c. cranberries, 1 small onion, 3/4 c. sour cream, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 T. horseradish. Grind onion and cranberries together. Add remaining ingredients. Put in freezer. One hour before the meal, pull out of freezer.

Watching for the cranberry pie recipe. I love all things cranberry, too!

Had a good cheese spread last week: Whipped cream cheese, diced dried cranberries and finely chopped green onions. I found lower sugar dried cranberries at our Fleet Farm store last week. Anxious to try them in this spread and in biscotti.

My favorite new recipe for cranberries is Cranberry Salsa

1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 whole jalapeņo seeds if you want to add them
    1/4 cup chopped cilantro
    1/2 minced red onion
    1 Thursday lime juice
Mix together and allow to set for several hours, even better a day or 2 later

We just had some on crackers with cream cheese, even better
