    The pattern is a basic basket weave block. You can find the pattern online for free or in your library.

    What I can see looks great. Here is a little tip to photograph the quilting so it shows better. lay the quilt flat and have the light source come from the side like a window. Take the picture with no flash. That sometimes means having to wait until certain times of the day. In my house my quilting room the lighting is best late afternoon and in my sewing room it is best in the morning. The quilting will show up much better that way.
