It's a great machine!
Thanks! I just looked at Brewers and they no longer have it but I ordered one from http://drdanessmh.com/berninabgears.html Can't wait to get it all working!

Yes, most of the bottom is a large wooden pedal and right now the arm attaches to a screw plate in the middle of the electric foot pedal, which is mounted at the top right.

I just checked, and you can still get them from Brewer. It says they are "In Stock." I'd be careful getting them from somewhere else. There are some pretty bad "knock-off" gears out there.

Thanks, but I looked again at Brewer and again
I see the gear by part number but I don't see a price or any way to add the item to the cart? It says "item discontinued by manufacturer" Yes, I'd rather buy from them. The only other place I find it is eBay which seems even more dubious. https://www.brewersewing.com/p-24491...cal-shaft.aspx

Do you know anything about "Dr. Dane's Sewing Machine Hospital"? Their return policy is pretty limited and that makes me nervous, esp for nearly $100 w shipping. The few web reviews I found looked okay.

If you're not a business, you can't buy it from Brewer, but your local shop can get it for you.
