Sounds like a very interesting program full of useful information. You certainly shared some interesting ideas. It seems like there are some wonderful memories from earlier generations. I identify with lots of them! I liked laundry day and still do. I liked to peg clothes on the lines outside. I liked to iron all those nice smelling clothes- I still like to iron.

thanks for sharing--great info. Wish she lived closer, sounds like a fantastic guild program.
One of our male guild members who recently passed told us about being one of the older kids in family of 13--said one of his jobs was to hang cloth diapers out for 4 still in diapers--said they would be hung over the farm fencing for about 1/4 of a mile!
Does anyone remember having pant stretchers? they were wire frames to put into the pants legs so that they dried with a crease and no wrinkles. My Mom used then (hung on the line or in the bathroom in winter) on my Dad's work chinos. Wish I had some now! I hang many clothes on line when it's not winter.

    Quiltingshorttimer,
try looking at catalogues from different home order companies. I have seen them recently but can't remember which one.
