I like the idea of adding a vibrant blue unles you want a monotone quilt, then maybe a rich dark chocolate brown so the blocks are glowing due to contrast. Just keep playing and seeing what you like best.

Ii like the dark choice. I am also one who would use black to make the blocks pop. Just finished one this week-end with black sashing and colored corner stones and love it. Your dark brown would work well tool.

I'm not a great fan of the dark brown. I tend to see it instead of the pretty colors in the blocks and the work you have put there. How about a tone on tone tan and use either the gold or the brown for the cornerstones? I like Tartan's suggestion that cornerstones would create another design for the piece.

Dark brown with cornerstones that match the corners of the block.

If you want the sashing to stand out, go with the dark. I kind of like the colors you have in the blocks.

So the dark brown won. And that forced ??? me to go to Lolly's and shop as I did not have any more. Oh poor me having to spend time shopping in Lolly's. (For those of you not from here, Lolly's is a huge fabric store in Shipshewana.) And I found it with a little help from the owner. Look for a pic tomorrow. Marcia

This is as far as it is now. Almost put together. I cut the sashing 2 1/2 inches. I took that off a pattern that was 12 inch blocks. These are 9 inch and I should have reduced the width of the sashing. But I didn't so this will be it. Plus some borders.
