    Yes, it was the 70's. I still have my T&S from that era. It has my ex-husband's DL number etched on it. We had been burgled, and the police suggested we mark everything.

    My daughter started drawing murals on walls, her bed headboard when she was 5. I finally gave up on the wall drawingis....left them there. She is now a great artist and free motion quilter.

    Grandson wrote his name with permanent marker on expensive white chest-- daughter tried but could not get it off. She said its ok, he will take it when he moves out of home--lol ! Yes, remember the etchings carved to help track any burglary.

    My mom let me draw and write on the underside of the coffee table. She figured no one would see it anyway and I thought it was such fun.
