    I did several a few years ago when McCall’s magazine was more to my liking. I haven’t done one recently. Your quilt reminds me of “Sew Many Strips” from American Patchwork and Quilting. I really love scrappy quilts and Civil War prints. Your quilt is beautiful.

    I do QAL when I am talked into them. I'm joining the Meadowland QAL next month because my longarmer is going to be featured as part of the Longarm League. And it will use up some of my stash, so that's a good thing!

    I’m in a quilt club. Every year we start a quilt along, either from a book or from a pattern. It’s nice to make blocks with others. It keeps me motivated to get them done.

    I have done a couple of sew alongs and really enjoyed them. I like the ones that give us a block that I can do in a week and I know I can handle one block at a time. Your quilts are gorgeous and love your CW fabrics.

    Are you a member of their guild by chance? I love quilt alongs and went to their website but I cannot the pattern anywhere? Just wondering how you found it? I have tons of scraps (imagine that?! and would love to do this one). thanks

    Is a QAL the same as a BOM?

    The only BOM I ever did was a 52 blocks one and I got to 26 blocks and never got any further with it. Those blocks were only 6 1/2" so they turned into a table runner and the leftover fabric turned into a lap quilt.

    Since that experience, I'm a little gunshy to do a BOM, although I guess that was a BOW.
