I have 2 Juki machines and they are wonderful for heavy fabric. They will sew through anything and are all metal so they arent the least bit fragile. You can look online at a site like or Sew and Vac. They ship free and are fantastic machines. I have the Juki 98TL but you wont need to get one of their more expensive machines to do what you plan on doing. Good Luck!!

First of all welcome to the board!
Doesn't Joann's let you try them out? That may be a good idea to see how they feel. All machines are different.
I also would not buy a new Singer. But I've heard good things about the others you linked. One that you may look
at is Eversewn. It's a newer brand and I've read good reviews on it. I know Amazon carries them as well as Missouri Star Quilt Company.

Just wanted to say welcome to the QB and when you do get a machine, let us know how it's going. I've got a preference for vintage Kenmores: all mechanical, easy to find once you're looking for them, inexpensive, durable. But there are features on the newer machine that do make life easier.
