    Husband likes Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack. We toured the Jack Daniel's Distillery a few years ago and they gave him samples of different whiskeys. The Gentleman Jack was his favorite.

    Thanks for the replies and help everyone! I never thought I'd be asking someone what whiskey to buy! I settled on Tullamore Dew...and those of you who said it were right..I have a gem of a neighbor and friend and know he'll appreciate the gesture.

    Well, if you are spelling it 'Whiskey', you are talking Irish whiskey; if you are spelling it 'Whisky', you are talking Scottish whisky.
    I think you should find out what type your neighbour likes, Whiskey/Whisky varieties are many and varied, and always worth checking with the recipient of such a gift.
