Barb, I love your scrappy version, thank you, I wouldn't have thought about the pieced blocks tweeners.
Ibex, the plain spacer blocks would be an excellent idea if I still hand quilted. I send all my bed quilts out now so that kind of choice isn't part of my budget
Love it when I see it on other people's quilts, so many of the vintage quilts were done this way just to showcase the quilting.
I love how our board members can always find something that seems impossible to find
