I have about a bazillion HST and QST to square up to 2” before I can put some blocks together. Also continue working on a cross stitch project. This is taking forever 😟

Good warm Friday. I plan to quilt a throw and baby quilt for a friend. Then continue to work on my ufo = traffic jam by a Pat Sloan, a QAL a few years back. I now have a home for the top and also need to enlarge to a twin size quilt. Plus, try to find and start working on a BOM I want to get done. That’s my goals this weekend. Chat later.

I would like to join for the first time. I have a large set of fat quarters with a Japanese theme and will look for something to make with them. I've been "saving" them and am now at a place to want to use them. If I don't find anything appealing, I think I'll get brave and start sewing on my bargello.

    Sounds like incentive abounds.

I'm quilting. Been avoiding it for weeks. Got about 1/2 of the main medallion quilted. Time for a break.

Day one, afternoon check in. I sorted my UFOs, searched for backing and found some, matched batting to quilt tops and bundled the pieces that go together with a strip of scrap fabric. Pulled out the few that are in project boxes and made an additional pile that need backs. What is left are those that need to have the top completed. Notice I did not say how many in each category? Let's just say I have enough to do one a month for this year and then some for 2026. Success for today.

Now it is time to work on the hospice quilt and find the pattern for one UFO.

My, we are an industrious group! Last evening I finished sewing the blocks for the Bonnie Hunter mystery. Now need to trim them and start sewing them to the sashing. My goal is to have the inner portion of the flimsy done this weekend. Since I tend to sew big block quilts, the BH one has been a challenge. I also need to fix the corners on the Cuts and Bolts mystery I finished and put on a narrow outer border. I do that to help keep the quilt straight on the frame. And talking about frames, I also need to start quilting four quilts for the upcoming prayer quilt ministry meeting. So lots to keep me busy.

I'm in again, and I should actually get time to sew this weekend. Last night I washed a bag of purple fabric I was gifted. This morning I did my shopping and went to the hospital to visit my mom for a bit. Then found out DH was getting out of work early so we had a late lunch then went thru the Como park conservatory. It was so nice seeing flowers blooming in January in Minnesota.

Now it's time to press all the fabric that I washed last night. This weekend I plan to work on some UFO's I have the baby I Spy from last month to still quilt!

Welcome to your first VQW! Did you find a pattern to use for the Japanese FQs?

Well, I didn't get any quilting done but did get quite a bit of stuff done around the house. I'm taking handwork with me to work on with friends tomorrow (guild sew in). Will check back in tomorrow--looks like I have lots of company this weekend.

I'm watching the squirrel that just came out of the attic. He was peeking in the window at me as I sit here typing. Animal Control people won't come set traps until snow is off roof. It's supposed to rain tonight so hopefully that melts the snow.

Add me in ........... I have a nice 3 day weekend ahead with no outside plans or errands. I have a few projects to pick from this weekend, so I'll see which way my mood swings ...lol .... Indigo Way is first on the list, last year's BOM Solare is there too. I also have an applique project when I feel like some slow stitching.
