Hello Virtual Quilters. I'm coming upstairs for a coffee and computer break. I've been doing most of my sewing very early in the morning/middle of the night. I think I mentioned it last month -- the sewing area in the new house is cold! We got me a space heater and it is a huge comfort and allows me to work for more than 5 minutes at a time. Temps are supposed to drop again today, with a high?? of 10 for tomorrow.
I have just two sets of flying geese units left to sew/press and then I'll need to trim the full stack and finally I'll be ready to put my subunits together. We also need groceries and non-quilting related stuff done...

I decided I needed a distraction from the Bonnie Hunter mystery yesterday afternoon, so put one of my big block quilts on the frame. I'll finish it today and probably do another one tomorrow in between piecing the BH together.

I'm in for some sewing! At a day retreat (sew all day and then go home and sleep in your own bed) until Sunday afternoon, and plan on continuing the sewing blitz on Monday, as well. Hopefully, much will get done but probably will be more visiting, laughing, and goofing around at the retreat! Stay warm everyone during upcoming cold front!

Will join you.
Bought fabrics for a baby quilt that I need to make ASAP. Figured out what pattern I will use and prepared all my foundations. (I will be paper piecing this quilt).
Hope to start sewing it this weekend.

I don't think I'll be doing much sewing this weekend. We just brought my 'new to me' HQ Amara home and unloaded the head and all the frame pieces from the cars. DH is insisting on a short rest but I think we should be able to get the frame put together today. Then I have a boat load of set up videos to wade through and choices to make on what button for which function. I just hope no timing or tension was knocked out of whack by the move.

Ginger - congrats on your new longarm. You'll have it up and working in no time.
I took the first quilt off the frame and am loading the second. I may even clean the kitchen -- which means I'm really desperate to avoid the BH quilt. I'll love it when I get it done, but getting there is a chore right now.

Quilting finished! Binding cut. Taking a break.
Kitty took off last night and hasn't returned. This has been happening for about a month. I expect she'll be back when she's desperate for food. Maybe she visits the neighbors. First time I've gotten an older kitty. Usually they're 6-8 wks.

Wow--there is a quite a variety of quilting projects being worked on this weekend! I did some English paper piecing today. I have the book Distinctive Dresdens and have been making a few from that. Will probably turn out to be small wall hanging. I got the one today 2/3 done. No more fun quilting tonight. I'm teaching Sunday school tomorrow and I need to finish prepping the lesson. Will check back in tomorrow afternoon!

This was not on my goal list but will happen instead. I and another woman are the "committee" for our guild quilt show. We came up with the idea of making pincushions with a tag advertising the show. Other times we will use them to advertise the guild. Anyhow, it occurred to me that if we want to put pincushions in various business locations, we will need something to put them in so I tried out this cloth box. Then I needed to make a pincushion for size testing. I think it will work so I'm going to make more boxes.
