Mt first thought was a border of red, and then a piano key if you have enough of your jelly roll left over to do that. maybe a red or a pieced binding with some red thrown into it. There have been so many good ideas given already. Let us know when you complete it and pictures please!

If you have any scraps leftover, add a colored sashing around it since there's so much white background, then use the rest of the scraps to make a border like a picket fence, uneven strips with the background fabric filling in to make it even. Don't know what the border is called but thought it was very interesting to me. Or sew them all together side by side and cut at an angle and to make it easy for you, add a cornerstone at each corner. Most all my quilts I add at least 1 sash and then a border between 2 to 6 inches whether the pattern calls for a border or not.

I would find a bold floral or geometric fabric that matches. that would be the easiest if you just want to be done with it. You could also make 4 patches with the fabric you still have. That would "busy" up the quilt IMHO.

It's the new modern look. You may be more drawn to a more contemporary or traditional feel. I agree that the quilt design and thread color may change the whole feel. Donate it and it will be very loved by someone else! I also agree with those who suggested appliqued daisies!

You are looking at it up close. Did you see how the design popped in your thumbnail pic? It has a striking design. It needs no other design at all. I would add a narrow dark border and the binding the same color as the border.

I think your quilt is lovely, colors and pattern, and all it needs, IMHO, is a narrow gold border, followed by a wider blue border. I would use small prints or textures that read as solids. Just last year, I made a quilt that I thought looked blah. Then I found the perfect border and I now love it.

@SusieQOH ... ha! When I was reading all the suggestions, I had been chuckling ... if Susie isn't totally confused with all the ideas, it'll be a wonder!
So I'll toss in another one for you ... some were suggesting contrasting thread for the quilting. Agree, but go for a variegated thread that pulls all the colours together! I'm still amazed at how a quilt (even one I love) just seems to come together with quilting and the binding finished. Here's hoping it happens for you on this one!
