I bought 15 yards on sale at Missouri Star, I think it was $1 yard. No longer available to buy there so I guess it was get rid of it day. The fabric looks like Kona to me but it is a cotton/poly blend. From the look of how it is constructed I think it would be straightforward to make it from yardage. I was hoping someone here had figured it out.
Accuquilt sell it by the ten yard rolls in 7 colors. it certainly isn't cheap. When I showed it at sew day, a member that makes memory and t shirt quilts for customers says it is a huge time saver for her.

She mentioned she bought it directly from a distributor not retail since she buys so much of it.

I would like to find a video that explains how to make my own. I like the idea.

Found this video, and was surprised I didn't see several more. Perhaps I worded the search wrong.
What you need is about 3/4 the way along, at 4.00. I have several sizes, up to 2" wide.

Gay, your link goes to Karen Brown then jumps to a blank screen. Is it the Karen Brown video?

Sash in Dash is not used as bias binding.

I got some terrific buys when Walmart closed out the "by-the-yard" fabric. I got 11 yards of a light blue blender for $6.00. My guild is using it for backing on community service quilts. When they actually do this, it goes fast. I think they throw away a lot, too.

When the LQS has a sale I buy from them but I won't pay retail for notions.

Although I haven't seen this, from the pictures and video, I don't think I would use it. I just don't care for the fabric. I looked online and found it on sale for $5.40/yard - so not inexpensive, either.

If I were doing QAYG, I'd work on figuring out how to make this type of prepared sashing with fabric I have on hand that would work with the quilt. I've never done QAYG, though, so won't be worrying about working it out.

I don't care for the fabric in use that's why I wanted to make my own. it can't be that hard, just have to start trying. I have too many other projects going on right now but I'll get to it eventually.

From the looks of the video I would take a yard of fabric (guessing here) and cut 3 inch strips by WOF. With wrong sides facing put two strips together and sew from selvage to selvage vertically directly down the center. Fold both individual top pieces inward to meet the seam you have sewn. Press. Now flip it over and do the bottoms the same way. You can make any size you want, it doesn't have to be 3 inches wide. Insert your QAYG blocks and stitch the edges down to hold blocks in place. Does this seem reasonable?

I saw a video, I thought by clicking on Gay's link, but now can't find. The link is showing a blank page, now Doing my own search I can't find the one I saw the other day. The one I watched the other day was for continuous binding, where you draw the lines on a square of fabric, offset the lines, seam and cut with scissors along the lines. If you want to make the same size as the sash in a dash, you could use the 2" Binding Tape Maker like this one -- https://www.amazon.com/Kunpeng-BTM50..._df_B077MBRMCQ Then carefully sew down the middle of two of them, much like what LGJARN52 suggested.
