I use Connecting Threads thread also and use almost exclusively prewound bobbins. If I need to match a color on the back then I use the bobbins.

What brand of thread works best in your juki for quilting free motion?

    Thanks in advance!
What kind of thread were you using??
Isacord on top and poly bobbin on bottom, maybe I need to use the same thread on both top and bottom, I will try it.

Is this the correct tension? I just tried it with the same thread in top and bottom. It did ok as long as I went slow.

I know I have the wrong foot in, I didn't use this foot to FM.

My Juki likes the bobbin thread and top thread to be the same maker.... soon as I learned that, everything was real simple..

Ditto -- my Juki does not seem to care about brand, but the bobbin and top usually needs to be the same. The exception is metalic -- I can use C&C Star in the bobbin then, but I do go slower.
