I certainly have bought fabric from walmart and have had no problems with it. I have made some entire quilts with walmart fabric and really, really liked them. Just my humble opinion.

I was in my WM (Warsaw, Indiana) a couple days ago. They had a few carts full of A.E.Nathan fabrics, new on the bolt and sealed in shrink wrap. They had the cutest prints. No price yet, but I would be anxious to see what those will be priced. Our fabric prices went up from $2.44 to $2.97 and the $4.44 went up to $4.97. I don't buy much from WM, but there are times when I have seen some really nice fabrics there, and if I like it and cannot see my hand thru it, I will buy it.

Yup. I have bought some fabric that I really like at Wal-Mart, made quilts out of it, and it's held up just fine. You just have to be careful, like you have to be careful anywhere you spend money.

Yes, I like their fabric. I have found some good deals too. It depends on what you want. I look every time I go there. I understand they are going to get rid of selling fabric in the near future.

Since I frequent WM at least 4 times a month, I HAVE to visit the fabric department. Alot (about 90%) of my fabric comes from Wal Mart, yes they have some pretty good fabric there. I've seen better at Jo-Ann's, but I will not pay $8.99 a yd when I can get pretty close to the same at Wal-Mart for about $3 less. Because of what I'm making right now, I'm going to purchase better quality fabric because it must withstand the coming school years use.
