I love the book. There are lots of fast cut block patterns, I really like the Self Mitered Log Cabin block.

And I found that a 10" finished Pineapple block has a 60% loss of fabric to seams during construction. The more seams in a block, the heavier a quilt becomes.

Anita, which book is the pineapple block in? Is it an easy pattern?

    Anyone up for a tutorial?
i'm fairly certain that would be a violation of her copyrights.

I am very stingy what quilt patterns or quilt books I spend my money for. I usually try and figure out a pattern for myself before buying. When I thumbed through this book I knew I had to have it. I didn't even look at the price until I swiped my card. The price of the magazine for this block pattern is a bargain. Thanks Anita! I'm looking forward to more of your block patterns.

    Thank you!

I'll put that book on my "to buy" list! And thank you also for taking the time to explain it to me!

I have this book on my wish list. How do you like it?
I just received "Rotary Cutting Revolution" in the mail today (Amazon - $19.77). Obviouosly I have not yet made anything from the book but really love 4 of the blocks in it. The blocks I'm particularly interested in are Xcentric Block (see http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-87185-1.htm quilt on this board), Anita's Arrowhead Block (subject of this post), Self-Mitered Log Cabin Block (see Anita Grossman Solomon's web site for a picture of the quilt done with this block) and four versions of the Pineapple Block (a Pineapple quilt is Anita Grossman Solomon's avatar - - see above postings).

In fact, I must love Anita Grossman Solomon because, after checking my quilting library, I see that I now have all three of her books. And, yes, I collect books like I collect fabric. Should just be more proactive in putting the two of them together in actual quilts.

OMG, you mean we are suppossed to BUY the books and patterns??? Just kidding!!
I have Ms. Solomon's 'Make it Simpler Paper Piecing' and she is a very talented lady. We have used the super size 9 patch for many charity quilts.
Love the pineapple avatar, I'll have to take a look at that book.
