I wash all my fabric in hot water and rinse in cold as soon as I get them.

I wash everything on the warm setting. Use hot for towels and sheets.

Well, I wash all of my fabrics in cold water; because that is how I will wash them when made into quilts. I don't use hot water for any of my laundry; but do my towels and sheets in warm.

I only wash in cold water, so that is what I use for prewashing.

I don't really think about it. I usually throw it in with the regular laundry, so if its "darks" it gets cold water, or "lights" or "whites" it gets warm water. I don't use hot water often in the laundry unless I am trying to sterilize something or shrink it. I dry everything on low in the dryer. Low actually gets pretty warm.
