    These are great!

Can someone explain the 'block of the month' process for me, a new quilter? Is it something that is part of this forum?
    Thanks,
    GrandPa

I would love to explain. It is where you do one block a month. I was doing them with our local quilt shop. It is such a great way to start learning. I loved it because each month when you meet you show your completed block. You get it done because of the motivation of getting your new block and moving on. :-)

Oh well that's neat! I think I had gotten it as a fat quarter pack. I made some throw pillows out of some of the fat quarters. Just 2 different fabrics, one on each side. Was perfect. :-)

JoAnn's has a block of the month section. You get the pattern and they have the coordination fabric to make it or most of the fabric stores on line have a BOM. They mail them to you every month and you are charged automatically, so you have to be aware when you decide to join.

What do you call the Jan bom pattern? Can you give us the measurement of that one? Would love to try that Jan bom :-)
