    I think I will give it a try. I tried hand quilting but was disappointed that my stitches were too big. Thanks for sharing this.

    I used Perle #8 Crochet Cotton Embroidery Thread there are some terrific buys on Ebay with an ordinary quilt needle, size 9 I think.

    When I was a young'un, my grandmother called stitches like that 'toenail catchers'. LOL! Times do change!
