Those are pretty blues but you need to add some other colors to make the "wave" work or they will all blend in together. When I made mine I used batiks from my stash. I had teal, pale green, peach, white, and dark blue. If you search for "Bargello" you will come up with a lot of pictures for inspiration. Most patterns call for around 20 fabrics in differing values. Check your pattern for suggestions. Hope this helps and good luck. We'll be waiting to see your finished quilt. They really are quite easy and a lot of fun to do. Enjoy :)

Not sure about the two blue and white prints. Small scale prints and mottles work best in bargellos. And like the others said, you might needs some darks in there.

I have never made one but have viewed many in awe. As I understand the patterns you need many colors. I would definately put some white in the fabrics but would also think about some warm colors.

Take this with a grain of salt, as I've never made a bargello, and I'm not so hot with choosing colours myself...

I feel like many of these blues are in the same "value". They're beautiful, they look nice together, but I don't see a whole lot of contrast, and I find with bargellos, they really give more of a "wow" factor, along with dimension and movement when there is more contrast added to them. Drastic darks and lights along with the more subtle colour/tonal changes.

Would add 3 or more whites or white blue tiny prints and maybe a dark blue
on white print.

Thanks everyone for your input. I will have to look for more contrast colors.

Like some of the others have said, you need some more contrasting colors. I would not go with white though, just a pale, pale blue small print. Then add in some deep navy or darker blues.

Dark blue and a little white. Or maybe ever a dark purple.
