There was a picture of a quilt on here a month or two ago that was all cream and beige colors. It was really stunning, very soft and lovely.

I went to a discount fabric store yesterday in Tennessee that had lots and lots of White on White and cream on cream calico prints for $1.49 a yard. I bought lot of it because I thought it would make excellent background or backing fabric. It would work nicely for your project too. BTW, my kids and grand children live in West Palm.

Maybe an Irish Chain with many whites for the background and pale pink for the chain. A narrow border in pale pink, followed by a wide white border, then pink binding. Quilted in pink or white or both.

How about a French braid done in shades of white and the palest shades of pink?

I think a D9P would be great, maybe try whites everywhere except your center block, she asked for pink so help her choose a pink for that center punch of color, there are many white on white fabrics available, take her with you so that she feels that she is a greater part of the quilt production, and besides if she doesn't like it later on, she picked out the fabric
