Okay, this completes the first unit of the quilt called "Unit 1". This is what it looks like opened up and pressed flat.

I did each of the above steps 4 times. So I have 4 of these unit 1 pieces ready now.

I cut the pieces over the weekend and I just did these first 4 unit 1's while watching American Idol.. and they took about an hour and 15 minutes.

I'm sorry to say that I will have to stop here tonight because that is all I have sewn!! I will try to do the "Unit 2" block tomorrow night during Idol and post afterwards.

Not only do I have a 1/4 of my quilt made already I have all of these cute little off cuts ready for something else. I just sewed the off cuts as they came off and set them aside since they are not needed for this quilt top.

WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP and get to sewing! I can't wait to see how this turns out. Looks simple and quick so far.

May have to make a quilt soon and this may be the one.

ETA Would you post the sizes of each section? Thanks

I know what you mean "real work" keeps getting in the way of my sewing. And my to do list gets longer every time I drop by the board. I cant wait to see this finished.

Okay, ladies I am ready to show you the rest! I'm sorry work got in my way today. Unfortunately I have to make money to pay for my nasty habit....fabric!!

I don't think I can post the cutting sizes since this is a pattern out of a book and it is Copyrighted. I will post the info for the book though and maybe your library will have a copy and you can make any of them!!

I will start with the pics on the next post.
