And having exported many Holsteins and Jerseys to the States as well as around the world, who knows, maybe some of you had some of my cattle! :)

Do you have guernseys too? Go for it!!!!

I'd love to see you and OKSewGlad take up the challenge ... and I bet we could persuade MamaBear to do it too ..... though she might have to make more than one breed!!! :)
I would have to try it with a Jersey first, less room for error in colour placement. Back in the day when we had to draw markings for registration papers, I wasn't very good, that job usually fell to my mother and brother, as my artistic talent was limited at best. Maybe I would be better using fabric than I was with a pencil and paper
Years ago I used to draw the heifers' markings. Then we had a heifer with very few spots and had to tatoo her. Been doing it that way ever since.
Oh my gosh - I completely forgot about the drawings when sending in registration papers! I moved away from the farm when I was 18 (just a few years ago ;-) ) and other than visiting, haven't been involved with cattle since.

I am a beef woman, myself, but your picture is cause for celebration - - you got it so good!
What animal person in the world wouldn't appreciate a superb example of milking ability?
Interesting how you figured out how to even get that flip of white on her shoulder ... good show!
I love your subject matter! <wave> (I am expecting big ribbons from your county/state fair!)

From one cow person to another, Thanks for the kind words! I'll issue you a challenge, Omak, to re-create one of your own bovines too. I'd so like to do one of our Jerseys, though I haven't quite figured out how to do all the shades of brown or the white frosting they have around their mouths.

I am hoping I can find some Fairs that have classes for her! It will be a little awkward, as being framed, it's not truly a quilt! Our Fairs don't start til September, so it'll be awhile til I can put her on the circuit! :)
