Nice Avi Teresa! Kick butt, GF!

Blaze (DS) and Melissa are both off this evening and Blaze loves fireworks but has missed them year after year to his disappointment. So as a surprise, I got four tickets for a fireworks cruise on the Great South Bay put on by Grucci. It should be lots of fun. I told DH that we will sit away from the young love birds so they can have their special time together. Be safe everyone!

Thanks for reminding me, Krystyna. Grucci reminds me of Gucci which reminds me of handbags, which reminds me of shoes, which reminds me of my birthday gift certificate to Macy's, which reminds me of an awesome pair of rhinestone sandals I covet. So short story long, I think I will go get into trouble for a little while at Macy's, go to lunch, and hit Beverly Fabrics, then come home. No, not for fabric. I have been commissioned to make crochet a baby blanket for a friend's DGS to be.

As far as fireworks, your cruise sounds awesome. My fireworks plans are the same as every year (but not nearly as fun as yours). I live 1/2 block away from an annual firework display in a huge open field at a school where every year some of the neighbors put on a commercial quality show for about an hour. The cops look the other way because the "hosts" have been doing this for years without incident. This is convenient for me. I sit in my swing in the cool breeze with hose in hand, in my backyard and watch the beauty unfold. So it's not very exciting, but I like not having to drive, pay, park, and take a couple hours getting out of the lot, and battling drunk and mean drivers. Plus I can be comfy in my pjs and sip some wine while watching a great and free show. Especially handy since it is mid-week this year and tomorrow is another workaday.

Hope everyone has some fun plans today. Great saying, Lori!!! Love the avatar. Be safe, all and have fun.

Happy 4th everyone! I wouldnt leave the house in this heat if not for my dgs. His 13th birthday is today! Going to his birthday party. At least mom is having it later, maybe it will cool off a little. Gotta love our little firecracker! Not so little any more.

SharonAnne~we are both naughty girls I guess since I also immediately thought of Gucci and handbags and shoes and sales hahaha.....and we are lucky enough that most of the fireworks can be seen from our house so I don't think we'll be doing anything too spectacular either.
K~have a wonderful time and take some pix!

Happy 4th everyone..... Brenda thanks yes am feeling better, but it's still there, weather and full moon makes it worse... and we had both... I just try to ignore it to the best of my ability.. and go on with my life... I did trim 12 place mats and 6 pillowcases this morning after going grocery shopping.. Why do our bills go higher and higher each week.. Have a safe evening every one.. We will watch the fireworks on TV tonight... There is a great show at 8 Central time... God Bless Rosemary

Happy 4th everyone! Keep safe - and cool. Lori, love your poem - saying - quote - whatever you call it. I just went back over all the postings and my SP has not posted - at least not that I could find so no extra help there. She did not give me as much info as I would have liked, particularly about what specific gift she would like, so I hope she likes what I'm giving. I tried very hard to match her color desires - hope her rust is my rust. Enough clues on that. My, my, I like the idea of the machine cover, but finished packing box about 1 hour ago and it's ready to go tomorrow. Perhaps next SP. My zip code doesn't add up to 15 or 22. Darn, was looking forward to those boxes - or perhaps one from the company mailing directly to me. I didn't seem to fit any of the clues given. I'll hope for more tomorrow.

~ fireworks displays have been cancelled all over the area here due to the record high temps and dry weather we are having. the fireworks display at our riverfront is still on. but i am sure there is some guy somewhere whose thinking to himself he ain't heeding no warnings and will set off his fireworks only to set his or a neighbor's roof on fire tonight. idiot.

~ my brother and i thought to get out early this morning to do our 2 mile walk to beat the heat. we usually start at 8am so today we started out at 7am but the temp was already at 85 degrees and the humidity was thick enough to slice up and mail off. we hung in there and got the 2 miles done. phew!

~ lori your words of wisdom is a mind bending tongue twister but something to consider. my city is the home of budweiser and clydesdale horses and many at the july 4th celebration are drinking shaved ice and snow cones instead of a cold bud today. the roads will be much safer tonight.

    enjoy your celebrations all!!!

Havplenty - if you ever get me as an SP and I have NOT indicated on my profile that I do NOT want humidity in my package, please try to remember on your own. Thank you in advance!! lol. We might have humidity about 5 days a year if we are unlucky. Don't miss it whatsoever.

I got my shoes, Brenda, and I'm even considering going back and buying the creme colored ones, too. Here's a picture that does not do them justice. They really sparkle even if the photo does not show it. And a perk.... The bands around the ankle are stretchy - so there is no contortionism needed with buckle type shoes. Have never really seen any with the crystals all around the back of the ankle before. And the stretch even provides comfort due to the "give". And no high heels means safety on stairs. They have it all.. Brand = Madden Girl. Color me happy.
