Dq did not get done last night but have it on top of list so I get out sooner than last month, but my partner is happy with it and I am glad. took a bit to get done for some reason. Well, off to finish the day at work and go home and can more tomatoes, we picked 30 lbs and have about that much left hallelujah.
Yes, it does sting. But he never listens. Oh well.
30 lbs is a lot of tomatoes. Lucky you! My yield wasn't that good this year, but I have figs galore. Always a race to get the ones that ripened over night before the squirrels do.
While I'm having DQ withdrawal, I am also getting closer to finishing the New York Beauty fall wall quilt I started over a year ago. Those curves are a PAIN and a half.

The colors you see just happen to be what I pulled out
to play with for my Autumn Harvest dq.
Below those colors is about every other color (even brown)
    you can imagine.

Everyday I have to pull him out of the bin, but the minute
I leave the room he is right back in there.

Today it sure feels like Autumn with our temp (here at home)
    being 50 degrees, and rainy.

QuilterMomma, I hear you about the canning backaches! Salsa sounds extremely yummy! My son made tons of his killer hot sauce yesterday with only one little mishap - a splash in his eye! Owwwwww!

The last few days have been like autumn here, too. After the storm that created the nearby tornado came through, the temps dropped 20 degrees. Too bad I'm stuck in the house sewing, sewing, sewing.

Hope you all don't mind if I share this one. I made this little keepsake for the family of my little brother's best friend since they were 10 years old who lost his battle with lymphoma last month. Jim had two labs that were his constant companions - hence the vigil they are keeping in the quilt.

Of course I will. But, if you get the feeling your hearing squeals of delight, they will be mine!! And, probably my mom as well. I can't get her to play online with us, but, she loves to hear all thats going on and enjoys all the photos and squishys. And, a lot of times is there helping me cut the fabric for all my swaps. I have finished piecing the NEW DQ today. I am very pleased with the progress. Tomorrow, onto step 2 and hopefully a bit of quilting. I am hoping to get this out to on Friday. But, I will let you know.
