The mother loved it, the grandmother loved it, and as the gifts were passed around the room, most of the guests lingered over the little quilt to touch it and look at it closely. So I guess it was a hit, despite my apprehension... The grandmother (my friend) told me those were the mother's "colors", exactly. She said they were so NOT into traditional baby colors, they painted his room gray.

I like it a lot better than the chocolate & teal or pink & brown that the young mothers all seem to be going for this year. I think your quilt looks "homey", warm & comforting and with the subdued colors; is fitting for either sex.
