You reap what you sow... if you don't like what your reaping change what your sowing. Makes so much sense.

I say this to my teenagers who wants everything..Yes I'll get you that as soon as my rich uncle gets out of the poor house. I heard that alot from my parents.

Never judge a book by its cover... this is so true with people also. Sometimes what you see on the outside, is nothing like what's on the inside.

my dad had many sayings, one of which came back to me with revenge when my daughter came home after learning about democracy--"Democracy ends at the front door. In here is an autocracy. I am the autocrat."

he has has many more, which have come to be family expectations to certain statements. can I think of them now? only the ones not fit to print LOL
