This is very similar to what I do! In fact our fabric choices are much the same too, with the exception of Dear Jane.

I have to laugh at you Michale,
We all have a ton of fabric.
I have about 40 Rubber Maid containers full and I have about 6 of the huge containers full.
I have 2 Viking Embroidery Machines, a Singer Sewing Machine and A Viking Serger. And I have never made a Quilt in ny life.
I would love to learn how.
I have a lot of patterns, But I'm a big chicken, to even start to cut one out.
Have fun with your fabric

Soon as I get moved to NM and unpacked, I'll come to Ohio and we can quilt together!
PS I have stash in CA and NM and at my friend's house too.

Hi Michael - I'm not a hoarder, I am a fabricholic and , and I don't have a stash, I have a fabricology research centre. That said, I have a mountain of fabric, and I love the colour and texture of it all. I have been expecting a world recession every day for the last 10 years, and wanted to make sure I had plenty of fabric in case I could not afford it when the next big depression hit. Thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. I don't collect kits though - I like to pick my own fabrics. And, another thing, if one of my friends is looking for just the right fabric to finish a quilt top, and its not available in the local shop - they come to me and I usually have it, or a close enough facsimile. And by the way, I saw the earlier threads about people passing on and leaving behind lots of fabric they never used. I was tempted to say that if I can't take it with me, I'm not going. But instead I think I will just include my fabric in my will.
