Quick update... we did find a new home to rent. Phew... 6 days to move and then we leave for the midwest for 2 weeks. Will be travelling through Texas on the way to Minnesota and back thru Washington to visit Mariposa on the way home.

I'm still working on blocks and they should be to you soon, if not already.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi everyone -

I wasn't able to get the envelopes out until Thursday, my first two days back were incredibly intense, back to back to back meetings, teleconferences, no time for lunch, you'd think the place couldn't survive without me - hah! Anyway, I am holding Tracibug's until I get her new address - does anyone know it and can pm me? Her post said they were leaving right after moving. I could send it to her old address but hate to think after waiting all this time it could get lost in transit. I will PM her also in case she is checking her email while on vaca.

I had to re-do a block for Dottie (there is a real reason why they suggest that we don't use bias cuts on the outside edges, the block was so wobbly I had to rip it back to the center square and start over) - BTW, if anyone suggests that you do 10-minute blocks using 2.5" squares, slap them silly! Trust me, not one of my finer design choices. I dropped her envelope in the mailbox today, but since she lives about 65 miles south of me, it should show up in her mailbox in a couple of days. Everyone else should be seeing theirs within the week, hope you're not too disappointed in my interpretations of your fabrics - I enjoyed each and everyone of them and hope the grownups behave once they get home to you!

Thank you, I took one look at your fabric and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it ... and it turned out even better than I imagined it would. I'm so glad you like it.

Got two lovely grown up blocks from MdmSew'nSew today. Thank you so much, I'm sure the kids will like them as much as I do. Thanks again. Has anyone heard from MaSimmons? I haven't recieved a block from her yet, has anyone else gotten one? Just asking.

Glad they fluttered home ... so much fun to work with so many colors - especially purple, my FAVORITE (I even drive a neon purple Elantra!) Thank you for letting me play with the butterflies!

Thanks, I still love that quilt - I posted it on QB a while back and got very positive feedback - I called it 'my best quilt ... so far'. Batiks really soothe my soul, there is something so tranquil about them.

You'll have to show us how the grownup blocks work together - I anticipate getting a new camera in the next couple of months so I can take some pix of my grownup blocks - the Arctic group really picked up on the colors in the print and each block is unique - and my fabric shines in every one ... thank you to everyone for making such incredible blocks for me!
