That's quite a dolled-up machine, Kalama. I'm using my fairly new Bernina B 570 QE. I had been using my Bernina 153, but I got this one because of the dual feed, stitch regulator, larger throat space, and better lighting. I think I prefer the old one, though. The new one is so fast, and I'll never do any machine embroidery, so I don't like the feed dogs being so far apart.

Any way, I've only got 70 4-patches done. I can't get over the size of these wee little blocks!

Here are part of my 4-patch blocks. I have half of them sewn together and several strips to press then cut in segments and sew, trim etc. I started sewing the blocks on my featherweight and then switched to my Pfaff Expression 3.5 machine. My husband will be back at work this week so this mystery will be put on hold until I get his quilt made for Christmas.

Great job everyone! All these red and white blocks make me think of peppermint candy canes for Christmas. I'm about halfway done with the blocks.

Isn't clue # 2 due out today? Like I don't have one done, but that is normal for me.

not until next Friday, Monday is the link up day to show what you've done. If you have a blog or pinterest or flicker or some kind of photo host you can link to them on Bonnie's blog. Has to be a permanent link not temporary.

I know, aren't they sweet! I've never made such small 4-patches before. I am sub-cutting, but I sewed a few to see how they were measuring up.

Love your scrappy 4-patches, Alva Stitcher!

I was going to use stand in fabrics for the clues since I plan on using fussy cut'able fabrics / prints or directional, then figure out what fabric was going where after the reveal, but someone posted a picture of sewing together colored paper as practice. This got me to thinking, I am going to draw out the clues to size w/ Bonnie's color noted on each piece (just a few of each clue) so that at reveal I can play w/ the pieces and figure out what's going where for color and prints.

Woo Hoo! Here are my candy cane colored 4 patches for the Holidays. It's oh so hard to wait till Friday. As y'all can see, I'm going with yardage this year. A first for me. I just didn't have all that orange in scraps.
