When I was about 6yr, old, we went to the Houston zoo. I had on a new red plaid skirt. I was holding my skirt out on both sides, prissing in front of the peacock cage. A peacock came near to me and struted a few steps. Then all of a sudden he lifted his tail. I was so impressed. I had to concede, his was prettier than mine.

Maybe you will be able to get a picture of him with his tail fanned out.

We saw white peacocks in Italy a couple of years ago. They were so beautiful and majestic!

We had a pair of peacocks when we lived off the grid in the foothills of the Rockies. They hatched one baby and both watched him. One morning we were woken with Mrs. P on the roof calling, and Mr. P in the driveway calling. About 15 minutes later, baby P came strolling back from his "walk". Mr. P would strut in front of the quonset hut while we were watching out the dining room window. I've heard them here in our AZ neighborhood and miss them. Will have to go visit.
