I am going through the same thing. First it was when we quit farming, then it was the dog and now I'm not sure what the next thing will be. Ha

We are now painting my 12-year-old granddaughter's bedroom. When it's done we're going to move in the white furniture I bought for her Aunt Karen when she was 12 years old. Now let's see, she is soon to be 44, so that would be 32 years ago? We bought her a new white desk with hutch top to go with the older furniture, along with new curtains and bedspread. She's very excited.

I used to tease my DD that for her 8th birthday, I was buying new furniture. Didn't happen til she was 13 or 14 and then, what a joy! I hear you.

We bought new furniture for our family room this spring. I was so scared about microfiber but I really love it now. We got a he-man sized recliner that almost didn't make it through the door. It didn't look that big in the showroom next to the other recliners. I still keep the couch and recliner covered with quilts. One of my kitties tries to use them as scratching posts.
