    I have only had one weekend of any kind since July...been busy cleaning up after a fire in my other house.. Will get my first 3 day weekend starting the 21st...I'm more than ready for it!

    Yup, but then again I have a 7 day weekend, no paid job right now.
    Husband works for the county and he still had to work if that makes you feel better. :-)

    hospitals are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. i worked!!! grateful to have a job that pays well.

    3 days? please! the only ones who get them for Columbus day are some government workers. Where I work they took easter monday away from us. The only recognised Holidays are Christmas,New Years, Thanksgiving and Labor Day at my place of employment and even then if it's not your turn you may have to work. They give us a different day off later.I'm glad I have a job.

    Did not have Monday as a holiday, but I did take last Friday off as a vacation day, so I did get a glorious three- day weekend.

    Very strange weekend. My daughter's college was closed on Friday for Yom Kippour and my library (work for me) was closed on Monday for Columbus Day. So it was a 3 day weekend for both of us, but a different holiday and day.

    I worked Saturday and Sunday. I work for the Police Dept and we work 24/7. So the only holidays I get off are days that happen to fall on days I don't work.
