    You can do that easily enough. The spool pattern is available if you can't draft it....(really easy, even I can) the flowers are yo-yos and the vines just wavy lines. Go for it!! Then show us what you have done special to personalize it. :)

    I am sure you could do that without a pattern, it is sew cute! I have two spots I can put something cute like that. Would like to get a pattern of a sewing machine, or make one.

    The appliqued pincushions would be very easy if you did it my way. I'd cut out a freezer paper pattern of the size you wanted the pincushion to finish up. Iron the pattern to the back of your fabric and cut the pincushion with a 1/4 inch seam allowance around it. Fold the seam allowance to the back and baste the seam allowance down. Press with an iron. As you are appliqueing it down, you can take out the basting thread and when you get most of it appliqued down, slip the freezer paper out. This method works very well on curves of all kinds, or at least it does for me.
